Garden nesters....

I live in sleepy Perth and Kinross. My small garden only has a few House Sparrows and a Blackbird. Every morning now when I open my curtains on the Isle of May I open up to this lovely Eider sat on her nest. It is one of over 10 along Fluke Street alone. I'll keep you posted on her progress. She first started sitting on Friday last week.

  2. Wow! Lucky you; what a wonderful sight this must be when you open your curtains each morning. I've visited the May a few times and am amazed at how closely you can walk past these ducks. How's Mummy Eider doing? Has she hatched her ducklings yet? Are you hoping to ring them?

Hope you're enjoying your stay on the May.
