A stilt update - the stilt has left the island.

A quick update about the black-winged stilt - I am afraid that all this cold weather must have got too much for this Mediterranean bird and it has moved on. So keep your eyes skinned on any pools near you as it could just bec coming your way.

We are now looking forward to the next rarity. It is blowing a south easterly hoolie at the moment so who knows what could be next. This afternoon a wood pigeon was seen which unlike the mainland is unusual out here. Perhaps the first of a wave of rarities ?  Will keep you posted.
