Bobby dazzler!

Mark been out dazzling and catching birds with his torch and net. It's been quite successful so far. These birds are active at night feeding in areas that would otherwise be disturbed during the day by the activities of the islands human residents.

It all started on Sunday night when Mark caught a Teal on one of the pools at Three Tarn Nick.

Last night the first bird he bought in was a Curlew caught on the Brae

The next bird that was trapped was a Dunlin. A welcome ringing tick for Carrie.

I think Mark even surprised himself when he caught this Grey Heron in the Harbour. This is the second Heron ever to be ringed on the Isle of May.

You need to keep a firm grip of this bill!
